Highlights/ Favourties of 2014

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. This year has been one with many memories so I thought I would talk about them. Warning this could be a long post.

Highlights of 2014:

January:

January is my birthday month and if definitely has to be the best birthday I had yet. I had a party as I was 18. It was great to be surrounded by everyone I love and cherish. It was such a good night, dancing singing and drinking what more can I ask for. I would like to say a huge thanks to my older sister and parents as that was an amazing night.

February:

In February with some of my college friends we went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London. It was amazing to be where they actually filmed. I have also made a YouTube video of the day so if you want to see that click here.

May:

I wouldn't say this is a highlight but if you are ever feeling down then the picture above definitely puts a smile on my face. If you don't know who are in the picture they are two actors from a soap opera in the UK called Coronation Street. I don't actually remember where I found this picture but whoever made this picture, thank you.

July:

In July I had to opportunity to meet the Prime Minister of the UK, David Cameron. I know that he is not liked by everyone but he seemed like a nice guy when I was speaking to him. I was there on behalf of my college. It was a great opportunity for me that I won't forget.

August:

For the UK, August is our summer and what a great summer I had. My friend that I spent a lot of time with made a video of the whole summer so I will leave it below. August was also the year I started this blog. I absolutely love blogging and plan to carry it on, so thank you to everyone who has read, commented and shared my posts this year.

October:

October was the month that my college friends sent me this picture thinking that it was me when it was Sam Smith. I know that I have mentioned this in previous posts but I still cannot quite belive how alike we look. The picture I have not given it any justice but If you know me personally then you know it looks just like me.

November:

For Christmas this year my sister brought me and 2 of my other sisters tickets to Free Radio Live 2014. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is basically a radio station in the UK which holds a concert every year where they gather big artists who play for us. There was 15,000 people there for the likes of Ed Sheeran, Labyrinth  and Nicole Scherzinger. The concert was amazing. The best 2 had to be Ed Sheeran and Labyrinth. I was just blown away by their talent. If you ever have a chance to go and see Ed Sheeran, don't hesitate, go for it!

My Favourties of the Year.

Album of the Year:

Sam Smith- The Lonely Hour

This was a hard choice, I had two albums that I originally thought of which were, Sam Smith- The Lonely Hour and Ed Sheeran- X. Both these artists have done amazing this year and I was happy to see at least one of them in concert.

Film of the Year

The Fault In Our Stars
This film hit me with so much emotion, especially at the scene when Hazel is crying on the bed. I also think that Shailene Woodley had an amazing year this year in terms of exposure. She went from Divergent to TFIOS. As I said in my last post, John Green who wrote TFIOS has also written Papertowns which has been turned into a film. Check out my last post for more information here.

Best Purchase of the Year

Brown Boots

I have been wearing the hell out of these since September, these have to be the most comfortable shoes I have, they are also perfect for the weather we have in the UK which is mostly rain. They are also perfect for me as I like to look smart a lot of the time and they are great for smartening up an outfit.

TV Series of the Year

Arrow

Arrow was the first TV series I thought when writing my notes for this post and with good reason. If you also watch it you have to agree that it is amazing. The characters are all brilliant in their own way. The multiple story line aspect that is implemented is great without taking any thunder from each other. The tension of both story line keep me wanting more. It is all kinds of amazing. If you haven't seen any episodes of Arrow, why not start right now. I believe they have the first season on Netflix. With the free trial you have no excuse. Go for it!

So these have been my favourite moments of 2014, let me know in the comments below what has been your favourite moments of the year.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone that has read, shared and commented on my blog posts this year.

See you in 2015,

Tom
