Highlights/ Favourties of 2014

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. This year has been one with many memories so I thought I would talk about them. Warning this could be a long post.

Highlights of 2014:

January:

January is my birthday month and if definitely has to be the best birthday I had yet. I had a party as I was 18. It was great to be surrounded by everyone I love and cherish. It was such a good night, dancing singing and drinking what more can I ask for. I would like to say a huge thanks to my older sister and parents as that was an amazing night.

February:

In February with some of my college friends we went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London. It was amazing to be where they actually filmed. I have also made a YouTube video of the day so if you want to see that click here.

May:

I wouldn't say this is a highlight but if you are ever feeling down then the picture above definitely puts a smile on my face. If you don't know who are in the picture they are two actors from a soap opera in the UK called Coronation Street. I don't actually remember where I found this picture but whoever made this picture, thank you.

Bored With The Run Up To Christmas?

If you are like me you have recently broke up from school, college or university and are basically now waiting for Christmas, but the days waiting feel like forever or you end up being the dreaded B word, Bored. Here is a few things I do in my spear time or when I am bored that you could do to help pass some time.

Play Apps:

Both the Google Play store and the Apple App store both do well at making lots of fun and slightly addictive games accessible, so why not use them.

My top 3 FREE addictive apps to play!

1. Stick Hero- This annoying game is simple, get to the next platform by simply making him a bridge to cross. This addictive game has had me annoyed for hours but I always go back for more. .

2. Dumb Ways to Die 2- This game is so stupid that I love it.The basis of the game comes from saving these cute characters from their deaths from things that many people would consider (hence the name) a dumb way to die. The only downfall to this game is that it can become repetitive which does take the spark out of the game a little for me as just by what you see before any instructions are given you know what to do but I guess this happens in every game the more you play it.

3. Make It Santa- This game is both annoying and silly but simply brilliant. Basically you have to deliver presents by throwing them down the chimney however, you have to watch out for the naughty children waiting up. The aim of the game is to go as fat as you can with delivering presents. The most annoying thing about this game is that it takes some time to get used to the camera angle of the actual game. In my opinion it is too zoomed in to have any reaction time to throw the presents but once mastered it is great fun. My current high score is 13 so see if you can beat that, If you do make sure to let me in the comments below.

My Everyday Hair Products!

For me hair is expression just like clothes. So when someone puts effort into their hair like their clothes it looks good, right?

Here are my top 3 go to products for my everyday quiff look.

The aim of my hair is to get as much volume as I can in my hair to lift it to a gravity defying height. Of course your hair needs to be a medium length to achieve what I would call a quiff look.

Step 1:

With towel dried hair I start with a mousse.

My current favourite for months now is the L'Oreal Studio Line, Boost & Gloss. I have mentioned this before in a favourites of the month but this is a great mousse that makes your hair so much more manageable to get that essential volume to get your hair up.

I use a hair dryer on a fast speed but medium heat in order to get the lift without drying out my hair. If you are interested in buying it I will leave a link at the bottom of the post.

1.2.3. Quick Christmas Gift Guide For Men

Do you have a man in your life that is hard to buy for at Christmas? If so then I have a few products that I love that could be the perfect gift.

The 1.2.3. Christmas guide means you cannot go wrong with any 3 of these products. Of course this depends on your gentlemen as he cannot do much with a hair product if he is bald for example.

1. Hair

If the man in question loves his hair on point then you cannot go wrong with d:fi extreme hold styling cream.

This thing is amazing for those long days at work or in school where you need a long lasting product that keeps everything in place. The product is fairly cheap coming in at between £9-£11 depending on where you purchase it. You'll find a link at the bottom of this post to all the products I mention.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 Review

When it comes to a all around film,  Mockingjay had it all.
Mockingjay is the final book in the series written by Suzanne Collins and after being a fan of both the film and the book I have to say I wasn't left dissapointed.

From the outset, the film was filled with clever tense scenes which left me holding my breath is suspense. These coupled with both action and narrative, really made the film flow well.
I could clearly see the rebellion starting to take form with both sides using videos in order to win the districts , it definitely reminded me of politics but they are fighting for power.
I think Jennifer Lawrence did an amazing job in this film and I truly cannot wait to see her talent in part 2, which if you have read the book you will know that it will be a true masterpiece if executed well.

The artist Lorde had her part to play in the film. She helped with the soundtrack which was played in the credits of the film however,  I do think her talents could of been put to better use with possible soundtracks in the film.

Books Vs Films-Divergent

Book vs film is a common debate among fans. It is now my turn to add to this.

If you didn't know, Divergent is an action adventure film set in a world where people are divided into factions based on human virtues. The film explores Beatrice Prior , a girl who is different, a girl who is Divergent.

Nuttcombe Bottom: Tallest Tree in England

So I have recently come back from a little holiday in Somerset. For those of you who don't know Somerset is in the South West of England.

I have been going to Somerset in the holidays for many years now. Its a great peaceful place which is completely different compared to the city life.

I visited a place called Nuttcombe Bottom which sounds a little funny but basically it is a huge nature walk full of long and short circuits for the public to use.
